12-7-19: teaching an old dog new tricks

Chapman GrubbDecember 07, 2019

I have spent the majority of my life striving to live by Thoreau’s teachings. He said, “Be wary of technology. It’s an improved way to unimproved ends. Despite his hypocrisy (a little research proves that his wilderness excursion was closer to glamping), I always thought he had a point.

I strayed from the social media and other various millennial activities. While I am certainly not commiting to facebook - I have however shifted my opinion regarding using tools and technology to maximize efficiency.

I will never give up my four color pens. I will always love to write by hand and hold a real book. It is up to us to decide whether the ends are unimproved or not.
