attention vs. focus

Here’s a fun fact about me. I am really good at focusing - but awful at paying attention.

I think there is a major distinction between the two. Focusing on a goal means absorbing everything at once, planning for the future, generating new ideas. It is the simultaneous action of creation. It must be a compendium of all of your resources. This is the big picture. I am committed to execution on a grand scale.

However, my ability to offer dedicated attention is severely limited as a result. The big picture diminishes the details. Sitting still and being quiet was never in my skill set. Know your strengths and weaknesses right?
