virtual overload

Staring at a screen is hard. My brain is melting from hours and hours of zoom meetings. I am no good at sitting still. The standing desk helps. Fiddling helps.

The attention demand is excruciating. We need to be more engaged, show our respect, make eye contact. Zoom feels far more difficult a task than meeting in person. I am having a good time learning (maybe even creating) new social interaction norms.

As painful as much of the screen time is - I am truly enjoying the chat feature of virtual meetings. The ability to interact live, as a group, has been super fun. I am able to engage with the group on a much higher level.
