The intention of this question is simple - justify your choice. Explain yourself to rationalize the cost and effort expenditure. Pro-tip: include everyone in this conversation - employees, advisors and especially your customers.
Figuring out what is important is integral to developing a successful business model. I read an interesting statement in Running Lean, by Ash Maurya. Chap’s paraphrase - your product is not what you’re selling, your product is your business model.
